The Sojourner Truth Library uses the Library of Congress Classification System to assign a unique call number to each item in our collection. In addition to assigning each book a unique call number, the Library of Congress Classification System also groups our books together by subject. As a result, when you know the call number of a book relevant to your research topic, you can browse all of the books that have been assigned a similar call number for more books on the same topic.
